Public Hearing on Wind Energy Siting Legislation - September 7th
Event: State Senator Benjamin B. Downing (D- Pittsfield) and State Representative John D. Keenan (D- Salem), chairmen of the Joint Committee on Telecommunications, Utilities and Energy announce that the panel will convene two regional public hearings on An Act relative to comprehensive siting reform for land-based wind projects (H. 1775; H. 1759 and S. 1666) and other wind energy related legislation (H. 1756; H. 1757; H. 2620 and S. 1695).
Any member of the public is invited to attend the hearing or address the Committee to register their thoughts and position on these bills. The text of all legislation can be viewed online at www.malegislature.gov.
A second public hearing on wind energy bills will be held at the Tilden Arts Center at Cape Cod Community College, on Monday, September 26th from 10:00am – 4:00pm.
